We are looking for a Contracts Manager, or an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, ready to take the next step in their career, to support our clients UK-wide business revolutionising their rural broadband.

We are seeking a commercially astute individual with a collaborative and diverse approach to working with our teams across the UK.

The role reports to the General Counsel and is based at their HQ in North London, but are willing to offer remote and hybrid working options to best promote your creativity.

In your capacity as Contracts Manager you will play a key role in developing collaborative relationships with project delivery teams and our external build partners. You will take the lead on in-life contract management. Expect to:

  • Provide commercial support to on-site project delivery teams
  • Create contract management framework for all build projects
  • Prepare and review all contract communications, notifications and replies to adhere to contractual timescales
  • Manage the commercial administration of the contract during execution and in-life, including contractual change control
  • Produce monthly project reports (CVR, EOL & internal budgeting and forecasting) to ensure full cost control of projects and to monitor against KPIs
  • Prepare and collate commercial/project performance data to assist with budgeting
  • Establish and implement commercial processes for pre-contract and in-life contract management
  • Ensure that contemporary records are collected from project delivery teams for payment certification and project validation
  • Assess and process applications for payment and ensure timely certification and payment of invoices

What we are looking for

  • Experience and understanding of the application of standard construction principles to telecoms or utility projects in the UK
  • Proven track record in quantity surveying / commercial management, ideally in the UK telecoms or utilities sector
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in preparing and delivering budgets and forecasts
  • Digitally savvy, with an ability to build strong relationships with build partners and supplier
  • Knowledge of standard forms of contract and those specific to the telecoms or utilities market
  • Adaptability and flexibility to evolve with fast-paced business growth

Qualifications

  • Desirable: hold a quantity surveying or commercial management qualification
